Kingstown Furniture, the UK’s leading manufacturer of ready assembled bedroom and lounge furniture, enjoyed a successful Interiors Show this January. The Hull based company launched four new bedroom ranges at the event, all of which were well received by existing and potential new customers. Kingstown also showcased its brand new ‘fitted look’ concept, which is available across three of the company’s collections.
“There was a great atmosphere at the show this year despite the current economic climate”, said Geoff Brailsford, Group Sales Director for Kingstown. “We met with all of our major customers and received positive feedback on each of our new ranges – Provence, Louise, Michelle and Serena.
“In particular, retailers were very impressed with the new fitted look concept that we displayed on our white painted range, Nicole, and commented on how easy our system will make ordering fitted look furniture in the future. The concept was developed after considerable market research identified a gap in the market and it was great to be able to see our customers’ reaction to it at the show!
“Our design team has worked hard throughout the past 12 months to develop a selection of new ranges that meet our customers’ needs perfectly, whilst keeping up with the latest industry trends. To enable us to offer the best service possible, we have invested heavily in our manufacturing systems over the past year and the show was a fantastic opportunity to discuss these developments with our valued customers.”
Provence has a best selling warm oak finish and a front frame design concept. The furniture has an attractive ‘cock-bead’ detail around the doors and drawers and the range benefits from antique pewter knobs. The range also features traditional scotia moulding on the chests and side moulding which gives the furniture a strong presence.
Louise has a rich walnut finish to capture today’s trends and distinctive wide frame five piece door and drawer feature. The range features a slim mirror in keeping with the door design, extra height and contemporary bar handles. The full depth assembled wardrobes which, as well as free-standing, are available in a variety of packages to achieve a ‘fitted-look’ with ease. They come with a choice of double and single hanging options and the single wardrobes offer hanging or shelving.
The striking Michelle is finished in honey maple and has durable membrane pressed doors and drawer fronts. It features softly sculptured contoured edges and an elegant rout detail to the tops and drawers. Michelle also has satin nickel ‘D’ handles and is available in Kingstown’s new ‘fitted look’ a show-stopping winner
Serena is an attractive, transitional bedroom range finished in warm oak and has quality bar handles. Its generous edging and ample cornices give it a fashionable, chunky look and represents exceptional value for money.
Nicole, the range on which Kingstown displayed its fitted look at the show as well as free-standing, has a crisp white painted finish that is durable and less susceptible to light than painted products with fewer coats of paint. It is available with tall or standard height wardrobes and has a deep routered design to the wardrobe doors which contrasts with its soft shaped edges perfectly. The Nicole range also has a comprehensive selection of matching pieces.
